Laser Cutting Machines
How about the optical fiber laser cutting machine using air for cutting, and how to select the appropriate air compressor?

The optical fiber laser cutting machine needs auxiliary gas to cut normally during the cutting process. There are three kinds of commonly used gases: air, oxygen and nitrogen. As the cost of nitrogen and oxygen is higher than that of compressed air, and the price of nitrogen and oxygen is increasing year by year, using air as cutting auxiliary gas can greatly reduce the production cost by about half.
How about the cutting effect of optical fiber laser cutting machine using air
The air itself contains about 20% oxygen, so it can make up for the lack of oxygen and nitrogen to a certain extent. The main cutting method is thin and medium plate cutting. It is better to rely on pure oxygen and nitrogen for cutting too thick plates. In the case of better optimization of cutting parameters, the use of air cutting thin plate can achieve a good cross-section effect.
How to select the air compressor matched with the optical fiber laser cutting machine?
The main source of air supply is mainly air compressor. The air compressor on the market is divided into piston air compressor and screw air compressor. The air pressure of medium and small power needs to reach 1.6Mpa to meet the normal working requirements. Although the piston air compressor can reach high pressure, the piston air compressor has high noise, many vulnerable parts, and high oil and water content in the air. The lens in the optical fiber laser cutting machine is easy to be polluted. Therefore, the piston air compressor is not recommended below 1.6MPa. Screw type air compressor is generally recommended to be used below 1.6MPa, and then suitable cold dryer and precision filter are selected. The compressor should adopt permanent magnet frequency conversion motor, which can maintain the stability of air supply pressure and ensure the best cutting effect.
