Metal laser cutting machine has many advantages and high utilization rate of materials. The main performance is that the cutting quality is very high, there is no burr and burning edge, and the incision is smooth and flat. And the cutting efficiency is about three times that of traditional processing, but the processing cost is low, and only needs to consume electricity and auxiliary gas.
In the steel plate laser cutting machine, for the parts with high cutting precision or large thickness, several key technologies must be mastered and solved. Focus position control is one of them. One of the advantages of laser cutting is the high energy density of the beam, so the diameter of the focal spot should be as small as possible in order to produce a narrow slit. Because the smaller the focal depth of the focus lens, the smaller the focal spot diameter. For high-quality cutting, the effective focal depth is also related to the lens diameter and the material being cut. Therefore, it is important to control the position of the focus relative to the surface of the material being cut.
In the application of metal laser cutting machine, problems such as focusing are often encountered. There are three simple methods to determine the focus position:
(1) Printing method: make the cutting head move from top to bottom, and carry out laser beam printing on the plastic plate, with the smaller printing diameter as the focus.
(2) Inclined plate method: use a plastic plate placed at an angle to the vertical axis to pull it horizontally to find the smaller part of the laser beam as the focus.
(3) Blue spark method: remove the nozzle, blow air, hit the pulse laser on the stainless steel plate, and make the cutting head move from top to bottom until the larger blue spark is the focus.
