Other cutting machine types: such as flame cutting machine, plasma cutting machine, wire cutting machine, water cutting machine.
(1) Flame cutting machine
Principle: flame cutting is a cutting method of cutting metal materials by using gas with oxygen or acetylene with oxygen in CNC machine tools.
On the whole, flame cutting operation is difficult and dangerous, with large waste of cutting materials and serious plate deformation.
Disadvantages:
1) The preheating and perforation time required for cutting is long, and the cutting speed is slow;
2) The thermal deformation during cutting is large, especially when cutting (0.5-6mm) thin plates, the cutting accuracy is not high, the end face slope is large, the cutting seam is wide, and there is material waste;
3) Unable to cut copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals and stainless steel;
4) The way of burning fuel causes serious environmental pollution and is not environmentally friendly. Although NC flame cutting thin plates (0.5-6mm) has been gradually replaced by plasma cutting in the cutting field, NC flame cutting is still in a pivotal position in cutting thick and medium plates, and flame cutting has always occupied a certain market share in thick plate cutting with its price advantage, but the material waste is large.
(2) Plasma cutting machine
Principle: CNC plasma arc cutting is a processing method that CNC machine tools use the heat of high-temperature plasma arc to locally melt (and evaporate) the metal at the workpiece notch, and use the momentum of high-speed plasma to remove the molten metal to form the notch.
Disadvantages:
1) Cutting thin plates is severely deformed, and the speed is not as fast as laser cutting.
3) The noise, dust, harmful gas and arc pollution produced by plasma during cutting cause poor workshop environment.
4) Fine plasma cutting has made the cutting quality close to the level of laser cutting, but the cost of equipment with the same cutting efficiency is similar to or even higher than that of laser. In addition, plasma consumables are used in large quantities and at high prices. The power consumption is several times that of laser, and the use cost is also high.
(3) Wire cutting machine
Principle: WEDM is abbreviated as "wire cutting". It uses electrode wire (molybdenum [m ù] wire, tungsten molybdenum wire, etc.) as tool electrode. Under the action of pulse power supply, spark discharge is formed between tool electrode and machining workpiece, and spark channel instantly generates a lot of heat, making the workpiece surface
Melt or even vaporize. Through the movement of XY pallet and UV pallet, the wire cutting machine tool makes the electrode wire move along the predetermined track, so as to achieve the purpose of machining the workpiece.
On the whole, it is not highly related to laser cutting processing, which only means that the speed is slow, not suitable for batch processing, and can be used for precision processing.
Disadvantages:
1) Cannot process with the bottom: because wire cutting is a wire saw, it cannot be processed with the bottom. If you want to carry out EDM at the bottom, the sinking die EDM machine is the best choice.
2) Slow processing speed: it gradually melts the workpiece while cutting, so it is slower than cutting, and is not suitable for mass production. Its speed is a few millimeters per minute, and its movement is almost invisible to the naked eye.
3) Non conductive materials cannot be processed: Although conductive materials can be processed regardless of their hardness, non-conductive materials cannot be processed.
4) Cannot process horizontally: because the line stretched vertically is processed like a saw, it cannot be processed horizontally.
(4) Water cutting machine
Principle: water cutting, also known as water knife, that is, high-pressure water jet cutting technology, is a machine that uses high-pressure water flow to cut. Under the control of the computer, the workpiece can be carved at will, and it is less affected by the material texture.
Generally speaking, water cutting is applicable to the safe maintenance and demolition of fuel and gas pipelines, storage tanks, flammable and explosive equipment in chemical plants, non hot cutting operations in coal mines, and the safe destruction of dangerous substances.
Disadvantages:
1) Cutting carbon steel plate is easy to rust, affecting the beauty of products;
2) High maintenance cost;
3) Great pollution to the production environment;
4) The use cost is high, requiring a lot of water and sand. The cost of water cutting steel plate is about 80 yuan / hour, the purchase cost of carborundum is about 600-800 yuan / ton, and the cost of waste recycling is as high as 2000-3000 yuan / ton;
5) The cutting speed is slow, such as 12mm steel plate, and the poor water knife may be 40 ~ 60mm/min. Good water jet 150 ~ 200mm / min.
