Experienced laser engraving machine operators know that after a long period of work, the mirror of the laser engraving machine will be contaminated by smoke and dust generated during processing, which will greatly reduce the reflectivity and affect the output of the laser. At this point, we need to maintain the reflector of the laser engraving machine to ensure the output of the laser and the effectiveness of the engraving machine, and to achieve the goal of extending the equipment's lifespan.
The following are the maintenance methods and precautions for the laser engraving machine reflector:
The cleaning of the reflector should be done with a dedicated lens cleaning solution and carefully wiped with a absorbent cotton. Pay attention to avoiding using sharp objects to scratch the mirror surface as much as possible. The workpiece on the lower surface of the focusing lens can also be contaminated with volatile compounds. When it is contaminated, it will also greatly affect the output of the laser. Attention must be paid to handling smoke and blowing protection to avoid contamination of the focusing lens. If contamination is carefully cleaned, the following methods can be taken:
1. Remove the inflation tube, pressure ring, and protective sleeve, and carefully remove the focusing lens.
2. Use a hair dryer to blow off dust from the surface of the focusing lens.
3. Carefully wipe the cotton ball with tweezers dipped in alcohol or a specialized lens cleaner from the inside out in one direction, once each, until the dirt is removed, so replace the cotton ball.
But we should note that during the wiping process of the mirror, do not rub it back and forth. Ensure that the mirror surface cannot be scratched by sharp objects, and the mirror surface is coated with an anti reflective coating. Damage to the film layer will greatly affect the laser energy output and carving effect.
