How to clean the dirt inside the laser tube
After working for a period of time, a large amount of dirt will adhere to the wall of the water cannula of the laser tube and the water pipe, which is caused by dust, cutting material soot deposition, and microbial proliferation after long-term use of the laser tube. These dirt adhering to the tube wall will affect the cooling water's ability to take away the temperature inside the laser tube, resulting in an impact on the laser tube's power and luminous spot, and even causing the laser tube to explode in severe cases.
In this situation, we recommend using a water chiller and maintaining it regularly as follows:
Check the coolant level in the water tank of the chiller: It is recommended to check it once every half a month in summer, and once a month in winter. If it is found that the cooling water level is lower than 60% of the total volume, Please add water in a timely manner (the water content should be soft water or distilled water; thoroughly replace the cooling water every two months. Check the condition of the condenser of the water chiller; replace a new deionized filter and cooling water filter every five months, and remove dust and debris from the high-voltage power supply and the water chiller.
If the inner wall of your laser tube has been contaminated, please clean it as follows:
1. Ensure that the positive and negative electrode connections of the laser tube and the cooling water inlet and outlet pipes are removed when the power is off.
2. Vent the cooling water inside the laser tube water cooled tube and seal the output end of the laser tube tightly with adhesive tape to avoid water pollution during cleaning.
3. Adjust the hydrofluoric acid solution at a ratio of 1:1000 (hydrofluoric acid: water). Inject the adjusted aqueous solution (or use glass cleaning agent) into the laser tube cooling tube until it is full.
4. Place the flat surface and let it stand for 30 minutes. After placing it, shake it evenly. After shaking for 3 minutes, release the aqueous solution.
5. After emptying, rinse with a large amount of clean water to avoid corrosion of the glass caused by residual aqueous solution. If there is still a large amount of dirt that has not been cleaned, the previous cleaning method can be repeated. The soaking time should not exceed 30 minutes. Immediately after soaking, rinse with clean water.
6. After cleaning, use absorbent material to wipe the residual liquid outside the tube wall, light outlet, and high pressure end, and be careful not to damage the electrode column of the laser tube by wiping.
7. After removing the sealing tape from the output end of the laser tube and ensuring that there is no contamination or shielding of the laser lens, install the laser tube according to the installation process.
Note: Hydrofluoric acid is corrosive to a certain extent. Please use it according to the instructions in the manual. Laser tubes are precision devices made mainly of glass materials. It is not allowed to immerse the entire tube in hydrofluoric acid solution.
