The cutting effect can be judged from the following aspects:
1、 Roughness
The optical fiber cutting machine will leave cutting lines more or less, and the depth of the lines determines the roughness of the cutting surface. The shallower the texture, the lower the roughness, and the smoother the surface. Generally speaking, the thinner the material thickness is, the lower the cutting surface roughness is; The surface roughness cut with nitrogen or argon is lower than that cut with oxygen.
2、 Perpendicularity
Due to the focusing and divergent characteristics of the laser beam, during the cutting process (especially when cutting thick plates), the sizes of light spots with different depths in the material thickness direction are inconsistent, resulting in that the cutting surface and the plate surface cannot reach 90 degrees, or the upper surface is wider or the lower surface is wider. Generally speaking, the thinner the material is, the better the perpendicularity is. The better the beam quality, the better the perpendicularity. In addition, it is also related to the relative position of the spot focus and the direction of the material thickness during specific processing.
3、 Burrs
The steel plate surface processed by the optical fiber laser cutter shall be free of burrs. If there are burrs, subsequent treatment is required to reduce the working efficiency. This is related to the matching of process parameters, material types and beam quality in a specific processing process.
4、 Amount of deformation
Due to the thermal cutting nature of the optical fiber laser cutting machine, the plate will inevitably deform. Excellent cutting should minimize the negative impact, and special attention should be paid to cutting. Generally speaking, the faster the cutting speed is, the narrower the cutting seam is, the greater the gas flow is, and the smaller the deformation is.
