The laser cutting machine can cut the section of carbon steel very smoothly to achieve the effect of "mirror", commonly known as "bright cutting". Bright surface cutting is mainly used for medium thickness carbon steel. If the steel plate is too thin or too thick, bright surface cutting cannot be achieved.
How to perform bright face cutting?
First, the cutting speed should be controlled. Too fast cutting speed will lead to incomplete burning of materials and failure to cut through, while too slow cutting speed will lead to excessive burning and melting deformation of workpieces. It is necessary to combine the structural design of the cutting machine and the accuracy requirements of the cutting materials to adapt to the most perfect solution.
Second, adjust the nozzle height, which will affect the beam quality, oxygen purity and gas flow direction. When the nozzle is lower, the beam quality is better, the oxygen purity is higher, and the gas flow direction is smaller. Therefore, the height of bright surface cutting should be adjusted as low as possible.
Third, adjust the cutting air pressure. When carbon steel is cut with oxygen, a large amount of heat will be released from the combustion of the material, so the oxygen pressure cannot be too high. Generally speaking, the lower the air pressure within the cutting range, the brighter the cutting section. However, in order to ensure the cutting stability, a certain proportion will be increased on the basis of cutting off the air pressure.
Fourth, adjust the cutting power. For plates with different thicknesses, the greater the thickness, the higher the power required.
Fifth, adjust the size of the cutting focus. The beam from the nozzle of the fiber laser has a certain diameter. When cutting on a bright surface, the nozzle is usually smaller. If the focus is too large, the nozzle will become hot, affecting the cutting quality and stability, and even directly damage the nozzle in serious cases. Therefore, it is necessary to find out the maximum focus value that the nozzle size can withstand, and then adjust it.
Sixth, select the nozzle size. The smaller the semi nozzle is, the brighter the cut section will be, and the better the effect will be.
