The corresponding protective covers of laser cutting machines are mainly divided into CO2 laser, YAG solid laser, and fiber laser protective covers. 1. Applicable materials and industries
CO2 laser cutting machine and YAG (solid) laser cutting machine protective cover are widely applicable in terms of materials, while fiber laser is applicable to metal materials and is applicable to the processing needs of sheet metal processing, household appliances, kitchenware, elevators and other industries.
2. Cutting quality and speed
Under the same power condition, the cutting speed of the fiber laser is 2-3 times that of the CO2 laser, especially in the cutting process of metal plates. No matter the cutting quality or the cutting speed, the other two types of laser cutting machine protective covers are incomparable. The fiber laser cutting machine has good cutting quality, small gaps, and smooth and flat cut surfaces.
3. Operation requirements and maintenance
The optical path of the CO2 laser protective cover needs to be corrected before the machine is used. At the same time, the optical path will directly affect the cutting quality of the workpiece, so the optical path needs to be adjusted manually and maintained regularly; The thermal lens effect of YAG (solid state) laser is remarkable, so regular maintenance is required; The fiber laser is transmitted through the fiber, with less adjustment, less maintenance, high stability, and simple and convenient operation.
4. Energy conversion and cost
Under the same power, the photoelectric conversion rate of the YAG (solid) laser shield is 3%, the photoelectric conversion rate of the CO2 laser shield is about 9%~15%, and the photoelectric conversion rate of the fiber laser shield is more than 25%. However, the power consumption of the fiber laser is only about 30% of that of the CO2 laser. In general, the cost is lower.
