First of all, let's understand what the film cutting is. In order to ensure the surface finish of metal materials and avoid scratch wear, many metal products will be coated. Common coated metal materials in life include doors and windows, kitchenware, etc. This is what we often call coated metal materials. The purpose of film cutting is mainly to prevent the scratches after cutting the plates from being ugly. Of course, it is no problem to use optical fiber laser cutting machine to cut film. How to cut metal materials with film?
As a metal cutting expert, the laser cutting machine can also cut the coated metal plates, but there are certain difficulties: because the optical fiber laser wavelength is relatively short, only 1.06um, it is difficult to be absorbed by non-metallic materials. When cutting the stainless steel film, there are often adverse phenomena such as anti slag, non penetration, high reflection alarm, which have a great impact on the cutting quality and normal production of the plates. In order to melt the film on the surface, it needs to rely on the reflected heat of the laser on the steel plate. If the power is small, the film cannot be cut through; High power is easy to damage the surface of the plate. One cut is very unstable, and the surface film is easy to be blown up. Obviously, the traditional CO2 laser cutting process is unable to achieve the cutting of film coated stainless steel.
So, how to use optical fiber laser cutting machine to cut coated metal materials?
Now let's see how the optical fiber laser cutter cuts the coated metal materials; According to the normal idea of cutting, in order to ensure that the film covering will not be damaged, generally, the side covered with film will be processed first. The side without film covering will face down, and the side facing down should be installed with a pneumatic device first to prevent the machine tool support from scratching the plate. When cutting, the laser head should be about 10mm away, the power should be lowered, and then the protective film in the path should be burned off first, and finally the cutting should be carried out.
Then why do you want to cut the coated side first? This is because if the coated side is facing down, the residue splashed by the optical fiber laser cutting machine will adhere to the film due to the thermal effect, resulting in a rough coated side. After the film is cooled after cutting, it is difficult to remove the residue attached to the film, so the coated surface must be cut first.
