2. Laser melting and cutting
Laser melting and cutting is to heat the material to a certain temperature and melt it, then inject non oxidizing gas through the nozzle coaxial with the beam, and use the pressure of the gas to discharge the liquid metal to form a cut. The energy required for laser melting and cutting is only 1/10 of that for vaporization cutting, and it is not necessary to completely vaporize the metal. Generally, materials suitable for laser melting and cutting include stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and their alloys, which are all materials or active metals that are not easy to be oxidized.
3. Laser oxygen cutting
Laser oxygen cutting uses laser as preheating heat source and active gas such as oxygen as auxiliary gas for cutting. After the gas is ejected, the gas and metal will react with each other to release a large amount of oxidation heat. At the same time, the molten oxide and melt are blown out of the reaction zone to form a notch in the metal.
